The Honda 400ex is an excellent ATV. The only serious problem I've had was that the front wheel bearing failed, causing me to lose my front brake. My brother has one as well, and he has had nearly no difficulties with it.The engine is bulletproof, but if you ride vigorously on trails and jumps, you will need to replace the rear wheel bearings every couple of years or so, like with most ATVs. If you ride a lot of trails, you should also check the swing arm bearings. Aside from that, it's a fantastic atv that is quite dependable!
